How to use the test

Take the Petri dish without a lid and place it in the desired room for 1 hour where you want to measure the air quality.

After one hour, put the lid on the bowl and store it at room temperature for four days.

You then read the number of colonies and assess the level based on the included interpretation guide.
Tips for reliable results

Perform the test as soon as possible after receipt – the fresher the sample, the more reliable the result.

For best insight: Take one test indoors and one outdoors as a reference point.

How many should I use?
For the best results, we generally recommend buying at least 1 test kit per 40 m². This helps ensure the best possible coverage. We also recommend testing several areas of your home at the same time, so you have results to compare and can pinpoint where the issue may be.
How does the mould air test work?
The air test uses a petri dish, which is placed in the room you want to test for one hour to collect airborne mould spores. The dish is then covered and left for four days, after which you can read and assess the result using the included guide.
How do I carry out the mould air test?
The test is simple to carry out and requires no technical knowledge. Follow these steps:
- Open the petri dish and place it uncovered in the room you want to test for mould for one hour.
- Once the hour has passed, put the lid on the dish and leave it at room temperature for four days.
- After four days, compare the number of colonies in the dish with the included guide to assess whether there are signs of mould in the room.
How quickly will I receive my test kit?
Orders are dispatched promptly and delivered within 1–2 business days. Please note that we only dispatch items Monday to Thursday to avoid unnecessary delays in transit.
Is the test difficult to use?
