How do you interpret your analysis results?

When you have received analysis results from MiljøLab ApS, it is important to understand what the report shows and what actions should be taken. Here you will get a review of the typical results and how to interpret them for both mold and asbestos.


Analysis results for mold

  1. Structure of the report
    You will receive a report that contains information about the sample type, sampling location, analysis result and any comments from the laboratory.
  2. Growth Assessment
    The report indicates whether mold has been detected and to what extent. The result will typically be categorized as:
    • No growth detected
    • Light/medium growth
    • Pronounced growth
  3. Significance of findings
  • No growth detected: No immediate cause for concern.
  • Light/medium growth: Consider preventative measures, especially if there are moisture problems.
  • Pronounced growth: It is recommended to initiate remediation and possibly seek professional advice.
  1. Supplementary comments
    The laboratory may add comments about the quality of the sample, possible sources of error, or recommendations for next steps.

Asbestos analysis results

  1. Structure of the report
    You will receive a report with information about sample material, analysis results and assessment.
  2. Detection of asbestos
    The report indicates whether asbestos was found and in what type of material (e.g. asbestos cement, insulation, flooring).
  3. Significance of findings
  • No asbestos detected: The material can be handled without special precautions.
  • Asbestos detected: The material should be handled with great care, and it is recommended to use professionals for removal.
  1. Special remarks
    The laboratory may include recommendations for further analysis or precautions.
